Día Dos y el Empiezo del Fin de Semana

Ayer, empezaron los clases: Historia del arte español con Prof. Miguel Cajigal, Gramática y cultura con Profa. Maria Jove y Historia de España con Prof. Domingo Lopo.  El material es interesante y los profes son muy inteligentes.  Después del primer día de las clases, Miguel y Domingo nos guiaron al centro histórico y un museo.

Me olividé de introducir el resto del grupo, así os daré sus nombres ahora para facilitar mis historias hoy y en el futuro: Cate, Haley, Stella, Kayla, Joe, Marilyn, Wendy, Will, Ellie, Chloe, Jessica, Genesis, Anika y Kate.

Anoche, regresamos (Cate, Joe, Haley, Marilyn, Ellie, Chloe, Kate, Stella y yo) a la ciudad vieja para encontrar un bar o restaurante para mirar el partido entre FC Barcelona y Real Madrid con españoles.  Desafortunadamente, no había mucha gente mirando porque no fue un partido de la liga, pero después de ~30 minutos de buscar, encontramos un restaurante suficiente.  Pedimos sangría, croquetas (un tipo de tapa) y probé una cerveza local, Estrella Galicia.  FCB ganaron, pero se importa nadie mucho porque el partido no valió por nada en la liga.

Las clases continuaban hoy y la favorita de todos nosotros es la de gramática y cultura.  Es más de una discusión sobre los costumbres españoles que una clase académica.  ¡Nuestra primera tarea en esta clase es ir a tres clubes y describir lo que vemos!  Ahora, tenemos tiempo para descansar y preparar para la tarea.  Mañana, vamos al sur de Galicia y entraremos en Portugal brevemente.

Yesterday, classes began: History of Spanish Art with Prof. Miguel Cajigal, Grammar and Culture with Prof. Maria Jove y History of Spain with Prof. Domingo Lopo.  The material is interesting and the profs are very knowledgable.  After classes, Miguel and Domingo gave us a tour of the historic center and a museum about Santiago de Compostela.

I forgot to introduce the rest of my group, so I'll give you their names now to make telling my stories easier today and in the future:  Cate, Haley, Stella, Kayla, Joe, Marilyn, Wendy, Will, Ellie, Chloe, Jessica, Genesis, Anika y Kate.

Last night, we returned (Cate, Joe, Haley, Marilyn, Ellie, Chloe, Kate, Stella and I) to the old city to find a bar or restaurant to watch the match between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid with Spaniards.  Unfortunately, there weren't that many people watch because it wasn't a league game, but after ~30 min, we found a good enough restaurant.  We ordered sangría, croquetas (a type of tapa), and I tried a local beer, Estrella Galicia.  FCB won, but no one cared too much because the game didn't really count for anything.

Classes continued today, and everyone's favorite is the grammar and culture class.  It's more of a discussion of Spanish customs than an academic class.  Our first homework assignment for that class is to go to three clubs tonight and describe what we see!  Now, we have time to rest and prepare for our homework.  Tomorrow, we will go to the south of Galicia and Portugal briefly.
